Picturesque Lake Garda

Lake Garda located in Northern Italy, about half-way between Venice and Milan is the largest lake in Italy. Glaciers formed this alpine region at the end of the last ice age. Lake Garda has something for everyone fine accommodations, attractions restaurants and wine bars while for kids there are theme parks like Gardaland, Canevaworld and Movie studios.

The old port of Torbole is the best place to enjoy some of the best windsurfing in Italy with many Surf rental shops for beginners and experts. Limone is home to the unique lemon houses. The town though one of the most popular tourist towns of Lake Garda, has preserved its picturesque, historic town center, ancient homes, narrow streets, and ports.  Sirmione located on the south of the lake, is one particularly popular destination, home to the Virgilio & Catullo Spa Complexes, as well as numerous restaurants, bars, hotels, fashion stores and a market. Here is the Scaliger castle dating from the 13th century. Riva del Garda a short two minute walk along the paved lake side path will bring you to a long stretch of smooth pebble beach where blue-green mountains dip straight into the lake at this end. Cola di lazise has hot thermal springs, therapeutic with beneficial soothing anti-inflammatory action to soak in. Malcesine on the north-eastern shore is one of the most popular resort towns with its narrow lanes; small harbour its pretty walkway along the Lake. Torri del Benaco on the Veronese side of the lake is known as the Olive Riviera and lies at the foot of Monte Baldo, surrounded by pine woods, olive groves and lemon orchards.
